Physical activity and sedentary behavior epidemiology in South America
The project has a descriptive perspective. Through the harmonization of national health surveys, we aim to understand the frequency, distribution, correlates, and potential determinants of physical activity and sedentary behavior among South American countries.
Physical activity and sedentary behavior measurement in national health surveys from South America
Given SAPASEN’s aims of explore empirical evidence derived from national health surveys, an important challenge is the comparability of the information provided by each national surveys. Thus, this project will identify how physical activity and sedentary behaviour has been assessed in this surveys in terms of types, characteristics, and domains of manifestation.
